Trainee Adviser

Opportunity image

We are recruiting for volunteers to join our teams in our busy Bradford and Keighley drop-in centres. If you have one day a week to commit to volunteering, are interested in learning new skills and working closely with a team of staff and volunteers to help others in your community, we would like to hear from you.

A Trainee Adviser will progress through our Adviser Learning Programme, which is a combination of online self-study and guided practical work. While doing so, you will also work alongside other volunteers as an initial checker in our busy drop-in centres, to gain practical experience of dealing with clients.

You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a busy environment. The ability to use computers and learn how to use our IT systems will also be useful. Ideally you would be available one day a week consistently over at least a 12-18 month period to get the most out of the training and becoming an adviser.

We can talk in more detail at interview about your time commitment and can be flexible wherever possible.
